How does your business help entrepreneurs and professional women?
BlissDom Canada is a conference that gathers bloggers, tweeters, pinners, business owners and social media professionals alike. Learn from experts in their field on all things social, create powerful connections and network with some of the best social influencers in Canada. To further build our community and provide education workshops on various key needs, we will be on the road this spring/summer on a #Road2Bliss tour. We will be focusing on helping local entrepreneurs understand how to leverage their social media and providing networking opportunities between local business owners and social savvy influencers. Be sure to follow #BlissDomCA and sign up for our newsletter at www.blissdomcanada.com
SPLASH media engagement is a digital media agency with strong connections in the blogger/influencer community. We are driven by helping businesses create strategic and authentic conversations online that change the “one time sell” into a long term relationship with customers.
What are you passionate about in your business and what steps are you taking to make it profitable?
First and foremost, my favourite passion in the business is taking a “usual” event and turning it into something epic. This runs its course in both Hart &Galla and BlissDom Canada. I am also a huge fan of the strategic side of social media and how it works endlessly at creating and fostering relationships that have helped small business owners go so much farther. We are growing and building the social media community in Canada and expanding our offerings to include many more cross-Canada ventures.
What do you hope conference attendees will take away from hearing you speak at our conference?
To take a gut check on HOW they are currently doing on Social Media. From Courtship to Marriage- I am hoping they leave with a plan on how to create that stronger long term relationship with potential customers.
What is your favourite business tool
Twitter. It expands your business opportunities so much farther in terms of possible relationships. I have seen countless Twitter referrals that have meshed into additional opportunities.
What is your favourite business book?
Who Moved My Cheese by Spencer Johnson. It talks about people’s inherent comfort with things staying status quo. It represents how to pivot and change when your business changes and asks questions like What would you do if you weren’t afraid. One of the biggest challenges for entrepreneurs is to stare down fear and conquer it with their beliefs that their business will succeed.
