Darin Adams is an award-winning TV personality who has spent 30 years in the broadcasting industry. Much of that career was spent working with entrepreneurs and small business owners, helping them get the marketing they needed. Now he has left the lights of the TV studio and is a noted speaker and author, helping entrepreneurs discover the “WOW” of marketing, while still loving the passion of doing what they do best.
How does your business help entrepreneurs and professional women?
I have worked with countless small business owners and entrepreneurs, helping them get the exposure and marketing they need through media channels. I have seen what makes someone successful. I have helped people build a relationship with customers. I have coached them to be passionate so others want to follow.
What are you passionate about in your business and what steps are you taking to make it profitable?
Customers and clients want to feel special. They want to be impressed. No matter how many people you interact with and how many clients you serve, it’s important to make each one feel that they are the most important customer to you. I love trying to find ways to “wow” them. When they do, they are a customer for life. They will come to you for anything you have to offer them. Sometimes I like to do that personally, but sometimes, I like to automate that so it takes minimal time and effort and still provides the desired impact.
What do you hope conference attendees will take away from hearing you speak at our conference?
The realization that their passion is their most influential tool. It’s what differentiates them from someone else offering a similar product or service. Your passion, or drive, or energy, or enthusiasm is what makes people want to say “yes” to you. You need to do whatever you have to, to let your passion drive your business and not get bogged down in the minutia that you can turn over to others or automate.
What is your favourite business tool
Infusionsoft. It automates all the sales and marketing process for a small business, so the business owner can concentrate on doing the things that only they can do.
What is your favourite business book?
My favorite is my own: “Lights, Camera, Passion” but that seems a little self-serving.
After that, it’s “Made to Stick” which reminds us the keys to making any messaging stick. People learn through stories (among other things) and this book helps us remember ways to effectively get our messages across.

Session: Attract, Sell, Wow Your Way to Success
The most important business tool you have is your passion. It not only motivates you, but can move others to action. The key to success is operating your business from a position of passion. You get there from identifying the three main stages of marketing and sales. Once you have those, you simply automate them. Don’t reinvent your business every day. Don’t be inconsistent. Let powerful automation take care of running the sophisticated tools you have set up. Then, you can do what only you can do: be passionate.
