Tell us about your business.
My name is Milissa Harding and I am a Certified Holistic Health Coach. I teach entrepreneurs how to maintain amazing energy levels from the inside out, so that they can build the businesses of their dreams without being tired and exhausted all the time. Through my coaching programs, I help busy entrepreneurial women to achieve their health and wellness goals as an absolute foundation to growing a successful business.
Who are you outside of work?
Outside of work, I am a proud wife and mom. I enjoy going for walks, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
What motivated you to start your business or choose your profession?
After recognizing that I was putting my own self-care and wellness on the back burner (once I returned to work from maternity leave), I knew that I deserved more for myself and my family. I decided to enroll in program to become a Certified Holistic Health Coach, and I observed a great need for this type of support specifically for women entrepreneurs.
Being in business for myself allow me to have more time with my family, as well as to create a flexible schedule, and support women entrepreneurs who feel as though their low energy levels and lack of attention to their health is getting in the way of growing as business owners. I am a huge advocate for women becoming entrepreneurs, and in order for that to happen, women need to feel healthy and well. I’m excited that I’m able to support women in this way.
How do you overcome business challenges or obstacles?
When I experience business challenges or obstacles, I revisit my WHY. I reflect on WHY it’s important for me to keep going even when things are less than idea. I remind myself of my overall vision for myself and my family, and that immediately shifts me back into a place where I’m re-ignited to move forward. I also find it helpful to remind myself of my strengths and talents, and that gives me a healthier perspective of the bigger picture of what I’m doing.
What are your greatest strengths?
My greatest strengths include: my ability to connect and relate to others, my commitment to serving others purposefully and meaningfully, as well as my sense of humour.
What are your favourite business tools?

What are you most passionate about?
I am passionate about encouraging women to explore entrepreneurship, because when you become in charge of how you spend your time as well as how you earn money, it raises your belief and confidence in yourself and it allows you to bring your whole self into your work.
By supporting women to prioritize their health and self-care as they grow their businesses, I am helping these women to create a strong foundation which will continue to nourish them as business owners.
What advice would you give to other business owners?
One piece of advice that I would give to other business owners is to be patient with yourself as you build your business, especially if you are a new entrepreneur. There is so much information out there (books, CD’s, websites, etc.) about how to market yourself and become successful as a business owner, and it can be overwhelming trying to sift through so much material. I feel that the best way to get started is to find opportunities to meet as many new people and build meaningful relationships as possible. You can learn from others’ experiences as well as create referral partnerships this way.
