Candy and costume season.
Oh, and all things scary.
Haunted houses, creepy decorations and really awful movies.
I know there are some people who love
having the bajeezers scared of them at Halloween
but I am not one of them.
Because to me, there is bad kind of scary
and good kind of scary.
Now finding someone you are crazy about,
letting them see the most vulnerable, raw part of you
and then hoping they love you back.
Now that’s scary.
But in a good way.
When it comes to love, I do not think
you should be uninhibited.
Now if you have ever been wounded, hurt or crushed by love
you may beg to differ.
Having a few walls up is a good thing right?
Not if you want to experience love in all its glory.
Because love is messy.
Nothing can be as awesome and as awful as when you dare to love unabashedly.
By holding back means you miss out the very best part of love.
Without vulnerability, there can be no depth.
The ultimate dichotomy.
Like trick or treat. 😉
That is why Halloween is surprisingly, a lot like love.
Scary, unexpected, silly and yummy all at once.
Some people say how you do anything is how you do everything.
Test if this is true for you.
Do you fully embrace Halloween and holiday occasions?
Or do you hold back?
Is how you show up on holidays mirrored anywhere else in your life?
What if you played just a little more full out?
What would change in your business, your relationships or someone other realm in your life?
I invite you to dive in.
Use Halloween to dress up, get silly, and practice going all in.
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!”
– Hunter S. Thompson
