Chevrolet Cruze Named “2011 Canadian Car of the Year” by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada
We are so thrilled to have Chevrolet as a title sponsor of the Women In Biz Network. They have believed in our mission and our Network right from the beginning. Their sponsorship enables us to bring you high quality events (and more exciting features in the works) at a very reasonable price. We were so proud of their recent accomplishment of winning the 2011 Canadian Car of the Year. Bravo!
I had the chance to drive a Cruze last fall in the incredibly fun #CruzeCity challenge. I loved it. In fact my husband did too. Click here to read about our adventures or, my insane competitive streak. For a compact car, it was surprisingly spacious and peppy. I like peppy – a little pedal to the metal is good for the mental health.
Here’s some technical information on the Cruze:
The Cruze affirms Chevrolet’s commitment to building refined, fuel-efficient vehicles using new, small-displacement, four-cylinder engines, with the 1.4L turbo engine and six-speed manual transmission combination on the Cruze ECO model and the 1.8L engine with six-speed manual transmission on the Cruze LS** both delivering best in class highway fuel economy. Featuring a segment-leading 10 standard airbags, surprising amenities and leading edge connectivity, including Chevrolet’s My Link application by OnStar, the Cruze aims to change the way Canadians look at compact cars.
Since its launch, the Cruze has been winning the hearts of customers around the globe, with over half a million already sold. I totally understand why. Being a treasure to drive, looking smart and sleek, fuel efficiency (is anyone else balking at the increased gas prices?), cool dashboard and driver layout, comfortable no matter if you sit in the front or back… Chevy has a winner.
I agree completely with the Automobile Journalists Association – two thumbs up on the Cruze!
